The YYS-110α introduces numerous new exciting functions, opening a whole new digital generation. For example, by connecting it to digital cameras
with pre-flash function using a fiber-optic cable, the YS-110α can be used in the fully automatic DS-TTL adjustment mode (Digital Slave TTL). Enjoy
complete creative control ‒ when you want absolute control over fine light adjustments, you can use a main strobe in DS-TTL mode and a secondary
strobe in manual mode or you can set up an advanced lighting setting using two strobes in DS-TTL mode. The DS-TTL adjustment function is also available using the light level control dial for fine control of the light amount when taking pictures in DS-TTL mode. You can also choose from 13 levels of manual controls when you do not want to leave the light adjustment up to the camera. The flat, round, 105° beam angle (with diffuser), achieved by the balanced positioning of the 3 flash tubes, and the power of a Guide Number 22 are examples of the excellent performance of the strobe that is sure to satisfy even the most demanding professionals.

Ikelite DS-160 anouncement
June 20th, 2008 · No Comments
We are pleased to announce the diving community’s new favorite underwater strobe–the Ikelite SubStrobe DS-160. Our world-famous SubStrobe DS-125 has been reinvented to include exciting new features such as:
- 160 watt-sec. power
- Built-in 5-watt LED modeling light
- TTL, Full, plus 9 fractional powers
- 1.5 second recycle time
- 225 full power flashes per charge
In addition to full compatibility with all current Ikelite digital and film TTL systems, we have added extra creative control with 9 fractional power settings in half-stop increments. A super-bright LED modeling / focus light exhibits negligible drain on the battery pack and turns off automatically while the strobe fires. A remarkable 160 watt-seconds of power is delivered in a blazing fast recycle time of 1.5 sec from full discharge–and even faster in TTL and fractional power settings.
The SubStrobe DS-160 is now available, with 2-3 week back orders. The SubStrobe DS-160 uses the same battery pack, charger, sync connection, and mounting system as the current SubStrobe DS-125. Photos and full specifications are available on our site.
